Decades mean nothing when it comes to music. The two friends of Faroese descent - Arni Carlsen and Edmund Jacobsen - can fully confirm this. They have gone from almost no contact to a close, musical collaboration in almost no time. A collaboration that results in single # 3 over half a year - “HOLD ON."
In a musical context, the duo is called 2SOME.
The 80s were cool! Also in the Faroe Islands, where the two friends - Arni Carlsen and Edmund Jacobsen - used every opportunity to hold a good party. Both played music during this period - but never together.
Time passed. Wives, children, and careers occupied their time. And the music they should have made together remained a distant dream. Until now!
In 2020, the two friends met at Edmund's home in Esbjerg, Denmark for an otherwise utterly obscure summer holiday - without any creative musical plans. And then things started happening.
Over one week, the duo wrote around 10 songs, well aided by gallons of gin & tonics - and stories about the good old days.
The two have now allied with a handful of musicians to complete the huge pile of songs that have accumulated over the past few years. The style of music is located near melodic American West Coast - added modern country, pop, and a bit of rock.
